Mission Statement:
To counteract, through education and advocacy efforts, the negative
impact tobacco use has had on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and
Transgender (LGBT) community.
Who We Are:
The California Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Tobacco
Education Partnership (LGBT Partnership) is funded by the California
Department of Public Health/Tobacco Control Section (CDPH/TCS). The
LGBT Partnership is involved in advocating for tobacco industry donation
and sponsorship policies and reducing availability of tobacco.
What We Do:
• Work with California’s elected officials to resist tobacco industry
donations
• Work to reduce availability of tobacco products in pharmacies
The California LGBT Tobacco Education Partnership is funded by the Tobacco Tax Health Promotion Act of 1988—Proposition 99, under
Contract Number 10-10221 with the California Department of Public Health,Tobacco Control Program.
